Cameron LNG brings field rounds and maintenance requests onto handhelds
AVEVA says each field operator at Cameron LNG had a dedicated handheld by 2024. At the Louisiana terminal, workers use them for rounds, instrument readings and maintenance requests.
The case describes less travel and faster reporting. Its 30–60 minutes per operator per day describes the earlier travel burden, not measured time saved.
Limits: The source does not quantify measured post-change savings, cost of the deployment or return on investment. Potential instrumentation cost avoidance is not cash savings. Electronic permits were described as future work.
