YPF’s fuel-blending tool supplies estimates to refinery operators

A Boston Consulting Group (BCG) project lead describes Ekons Matrix AI in use at YPF’s La Plata refinery in Argentina.

The supplier says blending execution time could fall by up to 50%. This is a potential maximum, without a measured achieved average, comparison cohort or observation period.

Limits: Original interview with the supplier project lead, not an operator filing or independent result. No realized saving, quality/error measure, cost or net ROI. No stream, tank, blend, user or throughput denominator. Further rollout is an ambition. Separate from the earlier YPF cataloging and inspection profile.
