What the source says

Aramco reports SAR 19.9bn ($5.3bn) FY2025 TRV, including SAR 9.8bn ($2.6bn) from AI-driven solutions and SAR 10.1bn ($2.7bn) from non-AI technologies. This replaces the imprecise “over half” statement.

Reported result

FY2025: $5.3bn total TRV; $2.6bn AI-driven and $2.7bn non-AI-driven. Separately, official FY2025 results materials allocate portfolio-wide TRV to $3.9bn capex avoidance, $1.0bn opex reduction and $0.4bn revenue enhancement; AI-only allocation is not given.

What this does not establish

Aramco describes its aggregate TRV metric as third-party verified and incremental to a business baseline. No independent assurance opinion was reviewed here. The $2.6bn AI subtotal is company-reported; AI-only allocation by project or benefit type and full costs are not disclosed. TRV includes capital or operating expenditure avoided and revenue added. Capital avoidance is not incremental cash income, and aggregate TRV is not project-level net cash ROI.

Useful evidence of management measurement discipline. A reader should request the counterfactual baseline, validation methodology and allocation by project before using TRV in an investment model.

Disclosure history

Aramco: $4B tech value, 6,000+ AI-enabled staff

Aramco's CEO said technology delivered $4B of value in 2024, double the 2023 figure, with AI embedded across operations. The company has trained hundreds of AI specialists and more than 6,000 AI-enabled professionals, and it has developed 300+ AI use cases. It is also building the METABRAIN industrial LLM on 90 years of company data. Separately, in late 2025 Aramco agreed to take a significant minority stake in HUMAIN, the PIF-backed national AI company.

AI drives over half of $5.3B technology value

Aramco reported $5.3B of Technology Realized Value (TRV) in 2025 from AI, digital and other technology, with CEO Amin Nasser saying over half was enabled by AI. Cumulative TRV since 2023 is $11.3B, and the company guided to an additional $3-5B in 2026.

AI-enabled technology value

CEO attributes more than half of reported technology value to AI.

TRV is a company-defined technology measure. It should not be treated as audited incremental net income, and comparability with another operator’s AI savings requires matching definitions.

Saudi Aramco Annual Report 2025 — FY2025 Technology Realized Value

Aramco reports SAR 19.9bn ($5.3bn) FY2025 Technology Realized Value: SAR 9.8bn ($2.6bn) attributed to AI-driven solutions and SAR 10.1bn ($2.7bn) to non-AI technologies. The report defines TRV as incremental financial benefit versus baseline from capital or operating expenditure avoided or revenue increase. This replaces the less precise CEO-call description “over half.”

Saudi Aramco FY2025 results presentation — TRV value composition

The FY2025 results material breaks the $5.3bn company-wide TRV into $3.9bn capex avoidance, $1.0bn opex reduction and $0.4bn revenue enhancement. Its “around half from AI solutions” statement is portfolio-level; it does not allocate the category composition to the $2.6bn AI subtotal.
