Formal AI policy: no AI in production-critical processes

CNRL's 2025 Annual Information Form says it uses AI 'responsibly' to widen employee access to knowledge, deliver data-driven insights and improve efficiency through 'incremental, cost-justified deployments'. It will not rely on AI for time-sensitive or production-critical processes until controls meet necessary standards. Employees must stay involved in and accountable for AI outputs, and AI risk is reported to board committees.
